About Me

Hi! I’m Chrystal Irene, the owner and lead photographer at Honey and Light.

I am a full-time photographer born in San Francisco and raised Oakland, California.

I would consider my wedding style at the intersections of fine art, romantic, adventurous and documentary. I lead with empathy, aiming to portray my couples as they truly are: authentic, raw, and full of love.

I fell in love with photography at the age of 14. I am absolutely obsessed with documenting life through my camera. I love the way a photograph can bring memories, feelings, smells, and sounds rushing back to me.

Things I love:

Sun-drenched mornings, a good cup of coffee, and laughing until my cheeks hurt.

Passport stamps, warm meals with friends, late-night conversations.

On my days off, you will find me bouldering, chasing pastel sunsets, exploring the mountains, or traveling to the edges of earth with a camera in hand.
