Hi! I’m Chrystal, the owner and photographer at Honey and Light.

I am a full-time photographer born in San Francisco and raised Oakland, California.

I would consider my wedding style at the intersections of fine art, romantic, adventurous and documentary. I lead with empathy, aiming to portray my couples as they truly are-real, raw, and full of love.

I fell in love with photography at the age of 14. I am absolutely obsessed with documenting life through my camera. I love the way a photograph can bring memories, feelings, smells, and sounds rushing back to me. In a way, photography is the only true way of time travel.

Things I love: practicing latte art, spending time with my family, watching Studio Ghibli films for inspiration, gaming with friends, and traveling to the edges of earth. Some things I’m currently obsessed with: ceramics, tennis, home decor, creating coffee/matcha recipes.

My favorite US National Park is Yosemite because of the way it evolves with each season. I would love to visit Olympic National Park and White Sands National Park!
